Lise Lacaille is one of those rare artists who dares to put the legal world on canvas.

Professionals working within or near the legal system feel that its stories and dramas deserve a giant stage. This artist takes care to play down the stiff and rigid nature of the law.

Lise Lacaille’s work is led by movement; she distinguishes her world with a lively expression of movement, colour and emotion, creating images with bright accents and vivid/deep colours, using them to paying tribute to her subjects.

At first glance, it is the subjects who impose themselves on us- large, disproportionate in size, possessing strength and the drive to communicate.

She deliberately omits facial details, allowing the spectators to identify with the subject. The hand and body gestures animate, pushing the limits of movement, using diagonal lines, smears, curves, imbalance, etc.

It’s impossible to mention this artist without also mentioning that her signature, the lady in red, is a euphemism. Lacaille’s universe, it’s the femme fatale, voluptuous and sensual, who seduces a man and pushes him to the limit. As for the men, they are proud, deserving, with a strong presence and an amusing sense of absurdity.

Ever since, international events have been unfolding at a rapid pace for the artist.

Lise Lacaille is unique within her genre, and you have seen her incredible sense of style. These larger than life characters and the lady in red are her trademarks. Her sense of fun permeates her work and fills us with pleasure.

Art lovers who are seeking something genuine, quality, expression, will find it in Lise Lacaille's works.
